Hello Northwest!

My name is Tabitha McAuley and I am joining Northwest High School as a full-time Special Education teacher this school year. I am looking forward to working with the students, parents, my colleagues, support staff, and administration to harness my students’ achievement abilities through the promotion of a positive learning environment.

I am a 2006 graduate of Saginaw Valley State University earning a Bachelor's of Science degree in Athletic Training. I continued my educational career at Spring Arbor University earning my k-12 teaching certificate in Special Education Learning Disabilities. I completed my student teaching with the students at STARR Commonwealth/ Montcalm School. I joined Northwest Community Schools as a long-term substitute last school year and the experience I gained was invaluable to my preparation for the full-time position I received this school year.

I enjoy watching and participating in sports, volunteering, and spending quality time with my family and friends.

I will be co-teaching: Economics, Civics, World History, and Lit Comp.

If you have any questions you can contact me at Tabitha.mcauley@nwschools.org
